The last few weeks.

Its been a crazy few weeks here at Daylesford Organics.

We said goodbye to our best friend for the past 12 years, Pixie. Pixie was the most loyal farm dog and we miss her immensely.

Last week Bren picked up 300 one day old baby chicks.

Its been a year since our last batch and I forgot how cute those little balls of fluff are.

And we picked up a new egg seller, Garden Organics, who are located in the Victoria Markets.

Thanks for the pics F.D.

So here we are in the middle of spring, the paddocks are finally drying out, the dams are full, the blossom is just beginning and we are starting to enjoy the fist vegies of the season.

Mmmm there's nothing quite like a frittata with new season's asparagus and garlic for lunch.

I hope this finds you happy and healthy whereever you are.

Sorry to hear about Pixie. Losing pets always makes me sad. The chicks are so cute. Hard to believe that they can live without mothers after just 1 day!

Pixie is gorgeous, and that's a great photo of her. THinking of you as you get used to life without her being around.
Asparagus season here too= heaven on earth!!!

My heart is heavy for you about your Pixie passing on...It is never easy being without one of our furry family members.

Contratulations on getting your eggs on a new shelf.

Sorry to hear about losing Pixie, it's pretty tough to lose a four-legged mate. One of our 'puppies' has terminal cancer so we are enjoying every minute of him at the moment while he's still mobile. At the other end of the life cycle I'm loving your gorgeous little chicks, they're just too cute!

So sorry to hear about Pixie, it's the hardest thing to say goodbye to our doggy mates when they go :( But I hope those gorgeous little chicks brought a smile back to your face :)
Asparagus is something I've been wanting to grow for AGES. I plan to prepare a garden bed for them this year so I can plant some next winter! YUM
